Quelles options de financement pour une association camerounaise…that is the question ?
Cet article n’a pas pour vocation de faire de la délation, de soulever des polémiques mais de raconter l’histoire d’une petite association camerounaise, notre histoire, sur le chemin de la recherche de financement.
Qu’est-ce qu’une recherche de financement pour une association?
On définira cela par l’ensemble des moyens mis en oeuvre pour amener de la trésorerie dans l’association de façon à pouvoir financer son fonctionnement et ses activités auprès de bénéficiaires. Il s’agit donc pour elle de faire appel à un appui extérieur via des dons, des adhésions, des récoltes de fonds ponctuelles (financement participatif), de répondre à des appels à proposition, de présenter des projets auprès de bailleurs de fonds ou d’organisations plus grandes qu’elle. On peut dire que 95% des associations ou des organisations non gouvernementales financent les activités via ces méthodes. On sait que la communication et le marketing ont aujourd’hui une grande place dans la stratégie de récolte de fonds des plus importantes organisations internationales.
Que se passe-t-il alors dans le cadre d’une petite association ? Et bien…c’est exactement la même stratégie qui peut s’appliquer. Les moyens de mise en œuvre peuvent-être plus limités…mais la bonne volonté et le professionnalisme fonctionnent aussi ! Ça tombe bien l’association est professionnelle, donc elle se lance !
Ici, commence la petite histoire de notre association. Elle va utiliser 3 leviers de financement : don, adhésion et financement participatif. Facile. Elle suit tous les tutoriels pour faire et alimenter une jolie page Facebook, elle réalise un joli site internet et écrit une belle présentation de projets pour les sites de financement participatif. Yes, elle est contente, alors elle fait « l’appel à action » !
C’est à ce moment que la petite association se dit…hein, quoi, comment ça ce n’est pas possible ? Pourquoi ? Le Cameroun, c’est en Afrique. Qu’est-ce qui se passe avec le Cameroun ? C’est là qu’elle découvre que 100% des opérations des organisations auxquelles elle fait appel passe par l’organisme Paypal…qui lui informe, via un email formaté, que le Cameroun n’est pas un pays destinataire des fonds. Elle comprend aussi que pour d’autres organismes, tel que 100Days, le Cameroun ne peux bénéficier de transfert de fonds lors d’une collecte de dons.
Creusons alors ! Quelles autres solutions pour bénéficier du service de ces organismes qui récoltent des fonds du monde entier ; de pouvoir bénéficier de l’appui des personnes qui suivent ses projets, qui la motivent à continuer ? Aucune (pour l’instant !). Vous devez passer par une association, une organisation non gouvernementale d’un pays dit de confiance. Ah bon ! ELLE ne peut donc pas être autonome dans sa recherche de financement car pour les dons et adhésions en ligne, la même problématique se pose.
Voilà le triste constat…mais la petite association 100% camerounaise continue de chercher son autonomie !
